BlackBerry 7 is most secure operating system
In its latest mobile operating system report, Trend Micro named BlackBerry 7 as the most secure mobile OS, beating out competition from Apple, Android and Windows Phone.
The report, titled “Enterprise Readiness of Consumer Mobile Platforms”, compared Android 2.3, iOS 5, Windows Phone 7.5 and BlackBerry 7 to find out which system was best for enterprise users.
BlackBerry 7 scored a rating of 2.89, which was based on factors that included built-in security, application security, authentication, device wipe, device firewall, and virtualisation.
Apple’s iOS 5 followed BB7 with a score of 1.7, while Windows Phone 7.5 took third place with a rating of 1.61.
Android 2.3 ranked last with a score of 1.37.
