Facebook mobile ads now for sale

Facebook have introduced the option to purchase mobile-only ads for prospective app developers and businesses.

Companies can now buy “Sponsored Stories” features, allowing products to be targeted towards specific audiences through the mobile phone Facebook app.

Different options for the ads are available, such as placement and whether the ad will also appear on the desktop version of Facebook, or just the mobile site.

This is another step Facebook has made in monetising its business model since the company’s IPO in May 2012.
