Sentech to increase MyWireless speed
Sentech has planned a speed upgrade for some time, and the implementation date may be as soon as November this year.
“We have some issues implementing and testing the changes required to improve the maximum speeds on the network, but on test MyWireless flexi accounts have already seen a 100% improvement overall. It is our intention to have this live by the start of November,” said MyWireless product manager Winston Smith.
MyWireless has been lagging behind iBurst, Vodacom and MTN in the speed department, with all these providers already offering services of 1 Mbps or higher.
This increase in speed on its MyWireless Flexi package may be what’s needed to make Sentech more competitive in the wireless broadband arena.
