Hyperion unveils capital expense planning software module
A module with both pre-built functionality and flexible customisation tools, Capital Expense Planning aims to extend the capabilities of Hyperion System 9 Planning software.
“Capital Expense Planning enables both financial and operational planners to collaboratively manage capital assets and related expenses,” says Marc Scheepbouwer, MD of Intellient. “As a result, planners can instantly assess the impact a specific capital expense might have on general expense plans and financial statements, and take immediate action when necessary.”
Capital Expense Planning is designed to deliver pre-built functionality that encompasses best practices, lowers implementation time and expense, and enables organisations to customise their capital asset expense planning application to meet business requirements.
“Although accurate and predictable forecasts are vital for any organisation, many finance groups still rely on manual spreadsheets or customised applications to facilitate the planning process, with limited involvement from the cost centres,” says Rich Clayton, vice-president of product marketing at Hyperion.
