Firefox hold on, while IE and Chrome slide

The latest report from Net Marketshare reveals that Mozilla’s Firefox browser has seen growth throughout July, while Internet Explorer (IE) and Google Chrome slipped.

After slipping below 20 percent share in May, Firefox looked to be handing over the silver medal to Google Chrome, although Firefox managed to hold onto second place for July.

Chrome’s third place spot was held by the browser’s 17.16 percent market share.

IE, being the default browser for the Windows platform, still dominates with 49.01 percent.

Safari, Opera, Android’s browser and others make up the remainder of the market share.
