Sony is rumoured to announce its first 4K, 84-inch LCD TV at the 2012 IFA consumer electronics show.
Sony is planning to give the TV a “reimagined retro-style appearance with a modern twist.”
The TV can display a massive 4096 x 3072 resolution (four times the number of pixels in a conventional 1080p set), being referred to in the industry as 4K.
LG has already released its own 84-inch 4K UD TV offering in Korea, recently.
