LG Optimus G becomes official

LG has officially announced its new flagship Android smartphone, the Optimus G.

In addition to being powered by Qualcomm’s new S4 Pro quad-core processor, the smartphone features Android 4.0 Ice-cream Sandwich; 4.7-inch 1280 x 768 True HD IPS+ display; 2GB RAM; 13-megapixel camera; and 2100 mAh battery.

The phone will be sold in red and black colour options, and will go on sale in South Korea next month, followed by a global launch.
