Nokia Lumia wireless charging pad slips out
Nokia is expected to unveil its Windows Phone 8-based devices this week (5 September 2012), and it looks as if wireless charging is one of the new features.
The Lumia 820 and 920 handsets will reportedly use inductive charging – placing the phone on a pad, lining up the device with contacts on the surface.
The image of the charging device leaked via a Twitter user known as “Evleaks”, and shows a Lumia handset along with the charger.
Images of what is purportedly the 4.5-inch Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 leaked on to the web last week and teased that the handsets would be bundled with PureView, Nokia’s camera technology that can capture up to 41 megapixels of digital information.
The Lumia 920 is also expected to feature 32GB of device storage, 1GB of RAM, and a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, while the 820 is expected to feature 8GB of storage.
