iPhone 5 expected to be called “the new iPhone”
The next iPhone will simply be called “the new iPhone” if a leaked picture is to be believed.
Published by iPhonenieuwsblog.nl, the image is reportedly of the next upcoming iPhone iteration’s packaging, fresh off a massive printing press. And within, clear as day, is the new iPhone with five vertical rows of icons, and the wording “the new iPhone.”
Apple’s dropping of numerical designation to devices is to be expected after the iPad 3 emerged to be dubbed “The New iPad” shortly before its launch.
Apple has announced that it is holding a press event on 12 September, creating the assumption that the iPhone 5 will be shown there.
