Google cancels Android event over hurricane
Google has cancelled its Android event over fears concerning Hurricane Sandy.
The event, which was set to take place in New York City, was expected to be the official reveal of the LG Nexus 4 smartphone.
“We are cancelling our Monday morning event in New York due to Hurricane Sandy” Google said in a statement. “We will let you know our plans as soon as we know more. Stay safe and dry.”
The Nexus 4 was revealed early from a LG rep, along with a premature pre-order page on UK online retailer, Carphone Warehouse.
