NASA breach: 10,000 users compromised
NASA has suffered a security breach, with the agency announcing that around 10,000 users have been compromised.
The breach happened after an employee’s laptop was stolen from his vehicle.
The data on the hard drive contained delicate information on other NASA employees and contractors.
“NASA immediately began working with local law enforcement after the laptop was stolen, with the goal of recovering the computer and protecting the sensitive data,” said NASA’s spokesperson Allard Beutel.
