Find My iPhone adds driving directions

Find My iPhone has been updated to feature driving directions – thanks to Apple Maps – which allows users to track down their misplaced or lost Apple smartphone.

The feature will now show your phone’s location on the Apple Maps service along with a car icon that, when clicked, provides GPS directions to the location.

Also now included is the option to play a sound on, lock or erase the contents on the phone.

There is a web version of the service, although it doesn’t include driving directions.

Mobile users are required to install iOS 6 in order to use Apple Maps and the Find My iPhone driving directions feature.
