Apple to acquire TomTom?

Apple is reportedly interested in acquiring mapping service TomTom in order to help with its (Apple’s) unsuccessful Maps App.

Hand Slob, a Rabobank International analyst, said that there is a 30% chance that Apple will make an offer on TomTom.

Slob’s reasoning was that Apple would be looking to acquire the Dutch company’s mapping data to supplement its own Maps App.

TomTom is valued at roughly $1.17 billion.
