Effective Measure released its January 2013 website statistics recently, revealing that MyBroadband attracted a total of 1.385 million unique visitors and served 7 million pages.
Effective Measure is the official traffic measurement partner of the Digital Media and Marketing Association (DMMA), and provides accurate traffic statistics for South Africa’s top websites.
Most of South Africa’s top websites are part of the DMMA, and this is also the case for most prominent IT websites in the country.
Top IT website in South Africa
Effective Measure’s January 2013 statistics reveal that MyBroadband is by far the largest IT website in South Africa.
MyBroadband attracted 1,385,052 unique monthly visitors in January, smashing its previous record of 1,213,870 unique browsers achieved in October 2012.
When it comes to local only traffic, MyBroadband attracted 752,000 unique South African visitors and served 5.7 million page views last month. This also broke the previous record of 622,114 unique SA browsers in October 2012.
MyBroadband’s sister websites, BusinessTech and MyGaming, also surpassed their previous record audiences in January 2013.

The latest Effective Measure statistics further showed that MyBroadband as a publisher has a dominant position in the local IT market (excludes mobile sites and tech sub-sections).
