Neotel wins 20Gbps Internet backbone contract

Neotel has announced the implementation of Internet backbone services for Echo Service Provider – an independent integrator of network and cloud computing services.

The agreement, which was signed in August 2015, represents in excess of 20Gbps of Internet capacity in its initial phase.

Under this multi-year contract, Neotel will provide Internet Backbone services to Echo. Echo serves Afrihost, as well as other corporates and businesses.

The solution consists of Internet Backbone services delivered in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban across multiple redundant domestic paths.

In addition, it has been designed to allow both preferred and direct Internet routes to international locations using multiple submarine cable systems connecting South Africa.
