ICASA CEO leaves regulator following suspension

ICASA has stated that its CEO Pakamile Pongwana has left the regulator.

This follows his suspension in July. Pongwana was suspended pending the outcome of an internal disciplinary process.

“The Chief Operations Officer, Willington Ngwepe, will continue serving as the acting CEO until such time a permanent CEO is employed,” said ICASA.

Pongwana took the reigns at the regulator from Themba Dlamini in November 2013.
