Neotel CEO Sunil Joshi said today (15 November 2011) that consumers can expect new data packages and new devices by the end of January 2012.
Joshi did not provide details about the planned products, but did indicate that they are looking to make services more affordable and ensure that new devices make access better and easier for their customers.
Joshi said that they have seen significant uptake of their 2GB and 5GB packages in the consumer market, and that they expect their strong performance to continue.
Over the last six months Neotel grew its business customer base by 23% and showed consumer customer growth of 40%. Neotel currently has 70,000 residential customers, up from 50,000 six months ago.
“We are growing at six times the industry growth rate,” said Joshi.
Neotel said that they have also made significant progress in improving their ability to deliver services faster to its customers. “In the past six months we have improved our service delivery time by up to 35%,” Neotel highlighted in a press statement.
Neotel currently uses CDMA to serve consumers with NeoConnect and NeoFlex product ranges, and this will continue for the foreseeable future.
Joshi said that they are investigating the value of an LTE network, but it is understood that no decision has been made on this front.
