Gauteng-based Telkom ADSL users today continued to experience problems with high latency and packet loss when trying to access websites in the Verizon Network in Cape Town. The problem started early on Wednesday.
According to Hetzner the problem is related to the Verizon Business – SAIX peering issue, something which is not new.
Similar problems have dogged the two providers over the last few months, with a previous issue resulting in days of slow access to Verizon based services from SAIX ADSL subscribers.
According to Hetzner, the Verizon and Telkom engineers are attending to the problem, but there is no word on when the problem will be resolved.
