MTN shakes up executive roles

Kanagaratnam Lamboratham

Current MTN chief technical officer Lambo Kanagaratnam is set to be promoted to chief enterprise business officer, heading up the group’s enterprise business division to promote ICT convergence.

Kanagaratnam takes over from Zunaid Bulbulia, who was recently appointed CEO of MTN’s South African operations, and is a former chief financial officer of MTN.

Eben Albertyn takes over from Kanagaratnam, from his position as Airtel Africa chief technology officer, having previously worked at MTN as a CTO for its operations in Cameroon and Ghana.

Kanagaratnam, who boasts a Master of Science (MSc) Engineering degree at the University of the Witwatersrand, was previously chief technical officer at MTN Irancell, and also GM of MTN Group Technology .
