Free Wi-Fi at SA airports

AlwaysOn

Airports Company South Africa (Acsa) now offers 30 minutes or 50MB of free Wi-Fi via AlwaysOn hotspots at airports around the country.

In an announcement on its website, Acsa explains that to access the service, users must follow these steps:

  1. Connect to the “AlwaysOn” Network
  2. Browse the web (e.g. go to google.com with your device’s web browser)
  3. Select “Complimentary access” after being redirected to the AlwaysOn sign-up page. You will be required to create an account and verify your e-mail address

Should you deplete your 50MB cap, or your 30 minutes run out, Acsa said you can continue to use the Wi-Fi on a pay-as-you-go basis.

“Purchased access can be used at any AlwaysOn Hotspot throughout South Africa,” Acsa said.
