Vox’s new 4 Mbps wireless service
Vox Telecom has recently unveiled numerous new services which it either has already launched or is planning to launch within the next few months.
Among these new services is its ADSL ‘Supafone’, the upgrade to its previous ADSL phone, its SSL Virtual Private Network service dubbed Periscope and a new 4 Mbps wireless service called Zeppelin.

Vox Telecom’s new Zeppelin offering is a 4 Mbps wireless service built on Broadlink’s microwave point-to-point service. This service is aimed at competing directly against Telkom’s Diginet service – offering more value at less than half the price.
The new Zeppelin service provides businesses with 4 Mbps dedicated bandwidth, a 30 port voice gateway, international bandwidth via SAT-3 and Seacom at a maximum contention ratio of 3:1, a router and port fees at R19,950 per month.
According to Vox Telecom MD Douglas Reed this new wireless service offers the same value as competing fixed line services which typically cost around R56,000.
Reed added that this new offering will make it easier for businesses to create bandwidth rich environments at less than half the cost of Diginet offerings.
