WirelessG boosts Wi-Fi footprint

This deal will integrate WirelessG and Skyrove Wi-Fi Hotspots so that their respective users can now access the Internet at over 1,800 Hotspots country wide.

“WirelessG is very excited about this endeavour,” said Carel van der Merwe, CEO of WirelessG. “It is our mission to offer our G-Connect users connectivity wherever they go, and the additional Skyrove Hotspots will take us one step closer to realizing that dream”.

Van der Merwe said that Skyrove’s Hotspot locations complement the current integrated WirelessG Wi-Fi Hotpots in that it expands the footprint from the long-established metropolitan areas.

“G-Connect users will now even be able to connect in the less-mainstream locations, which will add greatly to their convenience”.

“Skyrove enables anyone to set up their own Wi-Fi hotspots and in this way we have built SA’s largest community owned Wi-Fi network. The combination of our network presence with WirelessG’s large subscriber base adds great value to both Skyrove hotspot owners and G-Connect users,” said Henk Kleynhans, CEO of Skyrove.
