iBurst increases number of base stations
iBurst announced that their total nationwide complement of base stations stands at 200. This announcement follows only three weeks after the wireless broadband provider reached the 50 000 subscriber milestone.
“We switched on our 200th base station a full three months ahead of schedule which is pretty impressive if you consider that site approvals can take over a year,” said Thami Mtshali, iBurst CEO.
The latest iBurst base station is located in Randburg and adds to existing iBurst wireless broadband infrastructure in the area.
“Randburg is going through a major regeneration process and iBurst is pleased to be able to join other companies in their quest to uplift the central business district in particular,” added Mr Mtshali.
