ASUS has unveiled its AiMesh system, which lets you repurpose your old ASUS routers as mesh network components.
Mesh Wi-Fi networks automatically repeat a wireless signal and can be used to extend a Wi-Fi signal around the home.
Setting up the AiMesh network is relatively straightforward, ASUS said, and can be done through a PC interface or mobile app.
AiMesh also supports Wi-Fi networks with multiple SSIDs and users can mix and match compatible ASUS routers within their network.
Setting up AiMesh on a compatible router requires users to download a beta firmware package from the ASUS website.
