iBurst bundled offerings

iBurst has launched bundle deals with their HSDPA and Wireless services. They are offering subscribers the choice between a HD Ready Sinotec 32” LCD television, a Nintendo Wii and a R500 gift card.

The promotion will reward all new 24-month iBurst Wireless & HSDPA contract subscribers selecting either 500MB or 1GIG packages from 6 November until 31 December 2008.

“The selection of the HD Ready Sinotec TV and the Nintendo Wii was deliberately aimed at complementing broadband as a technology that brings people closer together. This is especially relevant over the holiday season when friends and family should be important,” said Thami Mtshali CEO of iBurst.

The holiday promotion is being offered in conjunction with Game. Game will honour vouchers supplied to new subscribers at their point of purchase for the HD Ready TV and the Nintendo Wii. The R500 Gift Card is a MasterCard preloaded with R500 which can be used at any retail outlet displaying the MasterCard Sign.

Pricing

According to the iBurst website the 500 MB festive package – which includes a Nintendo Wii – costs R 339.00 per month while the 1 GB offering is priced at R 389.00 per month.  This is significantly higher than the usual R 169.00 and R 219.00 respectively.

The difference in price is R 170.00 per month which equates to R 4080 over the 24 month period – around R 580 more than the current price of around R 3500 for the Nintendo Wii.

The MyMeg 500 MB festive package is priced at R 419.00 per month, R 170.00 more expensive than the usual R 249.00 while the 1 GB HSDPA bundle costs R 519.00 instead of the standard R 349.00.

The R500 Gift Card is provided to new subscribers who sign up for packages at the normal rates.
