{"id":100152,"date":"2014-04-07T15:47:28","date_gmt":"2014-04-07T13:47:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=100152"},"modified":"2014-04-08T09:22:00","modified_gmt":"2014-04-08T07:22:00","slug":"beware-new-sim-swap-scam-e-mail","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/security\/100152-beware-new-sim-swap-scam-e-mail.html","title":{"rendered":"Beware new SIM swap scam e-mail"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"MTN\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/226943-MTN\">MTN<\/a> South Africa has issued a warning to its customers of another malicious attempt to obtain the personal banking details of MTN customers.<\/p>\n<p>According to MTN, the syndicate sends an e-mail similar to the following:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Dear Client,<\/p>\n<p>We have discovered a suspected sim swap attempt on your no. The swap will be processed within the next hour.
