Vodacom released its latest financial results, which showed a sharp increase in the number of tablets and smartphones on its network. PC connectivity reduced for the second year running.<\/p>\n

Vodacom CEO Shameel Joosub said that Vodacom\u2019s active data customers increased from 14 million to 16 million over the last year.<\/p>\n

Vodacom\u2019s data growth was supported by a 23.5% increase in the number of active smartphones and tablets to 7.8 million devices.<\/p>\n

PC connectivity continued to decline. There are currently 1,117,000 PCs (laptops) on the Vodacom network, down from 1,129,00 a year ago.<\/p>\n
