Vodacom\u2019s latest smartphone and tablet statistics show that Android is the rapidly gaining market share, while BlackBerry is losing it.<\/p>\n

According to Vodacom\u2019s statistics there were 2,190,850 Android tablets and smartphones on its network in March 2014. This is up from 1,450,000 in September 2013.<\/p>\n

BlackBerry remains the most popular smartphone with 3.03 million devices on the Vodacom network. However, this is down from 3.1 million six months earlier.<\/p>\n

Apple\u2019s iPhone and iPad devices showed modest gains \u2013 up from 650,000 in September 2013 to 785,000 in March 2014.<\/p>\n

A big surprise is the strong growth in Windows devices \u2013 up from 270,000 to 377,000 in six months.<\/p>\n
