{"id":104473,"date":"2014-06-19T10:12:50","date_gmt":"2014-06-19T08:12:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=104473"},"modified":"2014-06-19T12:57:08","modified_gmt":"2014-06-19T10:57:08","slug":"facebook-down","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/internet\/104473-facebook-down.html","title":{"rendered":"Facebook down"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"Facebook\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/348566-Facebook\">Facebook<\/a> has been hit by an outage that appears to be affecting all aspects of the service.<\/p>\n<p>Users are reporting that it&#8217;s not only Facebook&#8217;s website that is down, but its APIs as well, including the Facebook &#8220;Like&#8221; button.<\/p>\n<p>The cause of the outage is not known at the time of writing, with no indication of when services will be restored.<\/p>\n<p>Many people took to Twitter to discuss the downtime, with the <a title=\"#Facebookdown Twitter hashtag\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/facebookdown\" target=\"_blank\">#facebookdown<\/a> tag producing a slew of tweets every second.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWow, seems that #Facebook is down. Oh well, at least we can still Tweet,\u201d said one person on Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDear Facebook people. Here on Twitter, we do not care that Facebook is down.
