{"id":10822,"date":"2009-12-13T12:09:00","date_gmt":"2009-12-13T10:09:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2009-12-13T12:09:00","modified_gmt":"2009-12-13T10:09:00","slug":"google-smartphone-rumours","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/cellular\/10822-google-smartphone-rumours.html","title":{"rendered":"Google smartphone rumours"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Google workers are trying out a device that &#8220;combines innovative hardware from a partner with software that runs on Android to experiment with new mobile features and capabilities,&#8221; vice president of product management Mario Queiroz said in a blog post.<\/p>\n<p>Google is seeking feedback in a process it refers to as &#8220;dogfooding&#8221; in which innovations are tested internally before being offered to the public on the basis that employees should be willing to &#8220;eat our own dogfood&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This holiday season, we are taking dogfooding to a new level,&#8221; Queiroz wrote.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Unfortunately, because dogfooding is a process exclusively for Google employees, we cannot share specific product details.
