{"id":108558,"date":"2014-08-22T12:53:49","date_gmt":"2014-08-22T10:53:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=108558"},"modified":"2014-08-22T15:06:41","modified_gmt":"2014-08-22T13:06:41","slug":"another-sa-istore-robbed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/business\/108558-another-sa-istore-robbed.html","title":{"rendered":"Another SA iStore robbed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Another iStore was robbed in Gauteng on Friday &#8212; this time at Centurion Mall in Pretoria, police said.<\/p>\n<p>It is the third\u00a0iStore outlet to be hit in Gauteng in less than a month.<\/p>\n<p>On August 13, the iStore at Cresta Shopping Centre was robbed and one person was injured when the gang made their getaway.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Update:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The following properties were taken &#8212; iPhones, laptops, and tablets worth over a million,&#8221; spokeswoman Lt-Col Khensani Magoai said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Four men allegedly entered the store pretending to be customers before holding up the store manager with a firearm.<\/p>\n<p>They then helped themselves to the electronic goods.<\/p>\n<p>Police were searching for the group.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They instructed the manager to open the safe. The suspects fled the scene in three vehicles, a white Corsa, black Audi A4, and a silver Mazda,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>Magoai said one of the guards at the mall gave chase but the gang started shooting at him. He was, however, not harmed.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Police are also appealing to anyone who may have information about the whereabouts of the suspects to contact the nearest police station,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>On August 13, the iStore at Cresta Shopping Centre was robbed and one person was injured when the gang made their getaway.<\/p>\n<p>The Glen&#8217;s iStore was robbed a few days later, according to Eye Witness News.<\/p>\n<p>Mogoai said police were investigating to see if there was a link between the robberies.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;At this stage we do not know if they [robberies] are linked,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>Warrant Officer Hero Gumbu confirmed the robbery but could not give further details on what had happened.
