{"id":108620,"date":"2014-08-25T12:36:16","date_gmt":"2014-08-25T10:36:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=108620"},"modified":"2014-08-25T12:38:52","modified_gmt":"2014-08-25T10:38:52","slug":"playstation-network-back-online","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/technology\/108620-playstation-network-back-online.html","title":{"rendered":"PlayStation Network back online"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sony Corp said Monday its PlayStation Network was back online after it suffered a cyberattack and was unavailable over the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The network was taken offline &#8220;due to a distributed denial of service attack &#8230; an attempt to overwhelm our network with artificially high traffic,&#8221; Sony said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have seen no evidence of any intrusion to the network and no evidence of any unauthorized access to users&#8217; personal information.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A hacker group going by the name Lizard Squad claimed responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Sony, yet another large company, but they aren&#8217;t spending the waves of cash they obtain on their customers&#8217; PSN service.
