{"id":11109,"date":"2010-01-14T13:00:00","date_gmt":"2010-01-14T11:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2010-01-14T13:00:00","modified_gmt":"2010-01-14T11:00:00","slug":"bank-warns-against-scam-e-mail","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/business\/11109-bank-warns-against-scam-e-mail.html","title":{"rendered":"Bank warns against scam e-mail"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An e-mail claiming to come from the bank asks Absa&#8217;s customers to divulge their log-on details, it said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;One circulating e-mail claims that Absa account holders are eligible to receive a return on incurred bank charges in 2009, and invites them to key-in their personal banking information following a link given in the e-mail to qualify for this benefit.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Another e-mail claims Absa is updating its online security following an attempted breach.
