{"id":11130,"date":"2010-01-17T18:51:00","date_gmt":"2010-01-17T16:51:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2010-01-17T18:51:00","modified_gmt":"2010-01-17T16:51:00","slug":"new-hetzner-md-announced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/business\/11130-new-hetzner-md-announced.html","title":{"rendered":"New Hetzner MD announced"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php?t=211708\">Deon de Villiers<\/a> has recently been announced as Hetzner&rsquo;s new Managing Director.&nbsp; Deon will head up the well known hosting company alongside Executive Chairman Hans Wencke.<\/p>\n<p>De Villiers is an experienced IT professional who started his career with Pep Application Software and Consulting after graduating from the Cape Technikon in 1992.&nbsp; He then moved to Metropolitan Life as an Oracle DBA \/ Unix Systems administrator and in 1998 Deon travelled to London where he worked for a period of three years before returning to South Africa and Metropolitan Life.<\/p>\n<p>In 2001 De Villiers joined Hetzner as its Technical Manager, responsible for overseeing the stability and growth of Hetzner&rsquo;s network infrastructure.
