{"id":11904,"date":"2010-03-25T13:20:00","date_gmt":"2010-03-25T11:20:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2013-03-15T11:59:09","modified_gmt":"2013-03-15T09:59:09","slug":"mxit-declares-war-on-porn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/cellular\/11904-mxit-declares-war-on-porn.html","title":{"rendered":"Mxit declares war on porn"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>MXit today announced a zero-tolerance policy against offenders who abuse its online community. \u00a0Anyone posting explicit or offensive material in public areas within MXit will from now on be banned from its systems without warning says the company.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cFor too long, a group of less than 0.1% of our user base has tarnished our reputation with their continual abuse of our community through unsavoury, and sometimes criminal, behaviour,\u201d says Herman Heunis, CEO and founder of MXit.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cUntil very recently, we had great difficulty in identifying and tracking these degenerates, but with new developments, we are now in a situation where they leave a definite electronic footprint.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cOur users\u2019 right to privacy is, and will always be, of paramount importance.
