{"id":119442,"date":"2015-03-02T16:38:47","date_gmt":"2015-03-02T14:38:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=119442"},"modified":"2015-03-03T00:58:31","modified_gmt":"2015-03-02T22:58:31","slug":"no-secret-documents-stolen-in-anc-website-hack-host","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/technology\/119442-no-secret-documents-stolen-in-anc-website-hack-host.html","title":{"rendered":"No secret documents stolen in ANC website hack: host"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mosima Hack Team, the group that claimed responsibility for a recent attack on the website of the ANC, said it \u201cseized up documents\u201d before deleting the site.<\/p>\n<p>However, website host Unwembi said that nothing stored on the ANC\u2019s web server was sensitive in nature.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs everything on the ANC website is in the public domain, claims that seized documents will be released to the media are without substance,\u201d Unwembi said.<\/p>\n<p>Asked how the hackers gained access to the server hosting the ANC\u2019s website, Unwembi\u2019s managing director Andrew Friedman said that hackers adapt and \u201coutpace\u201d the various mechanisms put in place to prevent intrusions.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Unwembi deploys several security layers, comprising both software and hardware to protect such high profile sites and constantly does testing to mitigate vulnerabilities,&#8221;
