Certain days I get awesome downloads through my Rapidshare account then other days I cannot even browse the net as my connection is too slow,” he says.

Another former Neotel user says that Neotel has implemented a Fair Use Policy (FUP), but that Neotel is not upfront about this development.

“NeoConnect Prime Uncapped users are currently being targeted by the FUP,” he said. “When possible, Neotel will use ‘contention ratios’ as the reason when in fact it is related to their FUP.”

Neotel was asked whether it was throttling uncapped subscribers, but the company would not provide comment on questions regarding this issue.

Neotel throttling subscribers? << Discussion

Related links

ICASA to correct Neotel spectrum mistake

Neotel legal threats to subscribers raise concerns

Neotel subscribers complain about poor speeds and potential covert throttling of uncapped users

[13

post-12042","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-wireless
