{"id":120980,"date":"2015-03-04T14:14:03","date_gmt":"2015-03-04T12:14:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=120980"},"modified":"2015-03-04T14:15:37","modified_gmt":"2015-03-04T12:15:37","slug":"suspected-copper-cable-thieves-arrested","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/technology\/120980-suspected-copper-cable-thieves-arrested.html","title":{"rendered":"Suspected copper cable thieves arrested"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two suspected cable thieves were arrested in Germiston early Wednesday morning, Ekurhuleni metro police said.<\/p>\n<p>The men were in possession of copper cable valued at around R5000, and tools normally used in cable theft, Chief Superintendent Wilfred Kgasago said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The EMPD anti-cable theft unit members patrolling the Germiston area this morning arrested two male suspects when they were found in possession of a freshly dug up copper cable and implements used for digging and cutting of cables.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The pair was arrested at 1.30am. Two others ran away.
