Local distributor Drive Control Corporation (DCC) has announced that it will be bringing Western Digital’s Scorpio Blue notebook hard drive, which boasts one of the largest single drive capacities for mainstream notebooks, to South Africa. <\/p>\n
The hard drive features 750 GB of storage capacity which is incorporated into a standard 2.5 inch notebook drive design, utilising Western Digital’s 375GB per-platter areal density and Advanced Format technology<\/p>\n
“Resellers are now offered the choice of a higher capacity notebook hard drive, allowing their mobile customers to store more information while on the go. The higher capacity provides consumers and business professionals with a small and efficient solution for storing large quantities of data and rich media content, while also offering power efficiency, achieved without compromising performance,” said Linsay Narayanan, WD Product Specialist at DCC.<\/p>\n
The Scorpio Blue notebook hard drive also features a number of additional Western Digital add ons including ShockGuard shock resistance and a 3Gbps SATA interface.<\/p>\n
The Scorpio Blue notebook hard drive is now available at a recommended retail price of R1520.<\/p>\n
