{"id":12298,"date":"2010-05-06T11:26:00","date_gmt":"2010-05-06T09:26:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2010-05-06T11:26:00","modified_gmt":"2010-05-06T09:26:00","slug":"ipad-micro-sims-from-vodacom-and-mtn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/cellular\/12298-ipad-micro-sims-from-vodacom-and-mtn.html","title":{"rendered":"iPad micro SIMs from Vodacom and MTN"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Apple has recently <a href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/hardware\/12259-iPad-hit-the-shelves.html\">launched their 3G enabled iPad<\/a> in the US.&nbsp; This &lsquo;upgraded&rsquo; iPad will allow users to connect to the Internet via a cellular network as opposed to a Wi-Fi hotspot only as was the case with the first iPads which were launched.<\/p>\n<p>The new 3G iPad requires a micro SIM, something which was to date not available from local 3G mobile operators like Vodacom and MTN.
