Affordable uncapped ADSL has dominated headlines since MWEB shook up the market with their uncapped offerings starting from as low as R219 per month. <\/p>\n

Since then numerous service providers have followed suit with prices dropping as low as R159 per month for a 384 Kbps uncapped account.<\/p>\n

Many consumers however forget about the total cost of an ADSL service which consists of analogue line rental (R131 per month), ADSL access (ranging between R 152 and R413 per month depending on speed) and ADSL ISP charges.<\/p>\n

While the cost of analogue line rental – which must be paid directly to Telkom each month – is not negotiable, many ‘uncapped’ ISPs have launched one-price ADSL offerings where an uncapped ADSL account is bundled with ADSL access. <\/p>\n
