{"id":125336,"date":"2015-04-29T20:09:32","date_gmt":"2015-04-29T18:09:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=125336"},"modified":"2015-04-29T21:19:35","modified_gmt":"2015-04-29T19:19:35","slug":"windows-10-can-get-android-ios-mac-apps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/software\/125336-windows-10-can-get-android-ios-mac-apps.html","title":{"rendered":"Windows 10 can get Android, iOS, Mac apps"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Microsoft announced it will release\u00a0a number of new tools that will let developers easily port apps to Windows 10,\u00a0at its Build conference on\u00a029 April 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Executive vice president for operating systems at Microsoft Terry Myerson said the company would release four sets of tools aimed at developers.<\/p>\n<p>Among them are tools for Android, iOS, and OS X developers.<\/p>\n<p>Android developers will be able to re-use much of the Java and C++ code in their apps to build apps for Windows 10. These apps then run in Windows security containers.<\/p>\n<p>Myerson said\u00a0this is how game developer King ported Candy Crush Saga to Windows 10.<\/p>\n<p>For iOS and OS X apps, Microsoft said its\u00a0integrated development environment Visual Studio would get support for Objective-C.<\/p>\n<p>This is the programming language used to develop apps for iOS and OS X.
