Mobile applications for Word, Excel, and Powerpoint have appeared on Google Play, finally bringing Microsoft\u2019s new mobile Office apps to Android users.<\/p>\n

While the old Microsoft Office Mobile app remains available, the software giant has updated its description to state it has been replaced by the new applications.<\/p>\n

The apps require at least Android 4.4.x \u201cKitKat\u201d or newer (with Android M not yet supported), and 1GB RAM or more.<\/p>\n

To create and edit documents, you will need to sign in with a free Microsoft account.<\/p>\n

\u201cA qualifying Office 365 subscription is required to unlock the full Office experience,\u201d said Microsoft.<\/p>\n

\u201cOffice 365 is also required to create or edit on tablets with a screen larger than 10.1 inches.\u201d<\/p>\n
