{"id":130434,"date":"2015-06-26T07:23:30","date_gmt":"2015-06-26T05:23:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=130434"},"modified":"2015-06-26T07:32:25","modified_gmt":"2015-06-26T05:32:25","slug":"windows-10-new-desktop-wallpaper-revealed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/software\/130434-windows-10-new-desktop-wallpaper-revealed.html","title":{"rendered":"Windows 10 new desktop wallpaper revealed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Microsoft has created a special edition desktop wallpaper for Windows 10.<\/p>\n<p>The wallpaper, shown off in the video below, uses the Windows logo made out of light as its centrepiece &#8211;\u00a0put together using\u00a0camera mapping techniques, lasers, and projectors.<\/p>\n<p>According to a report by <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2015\/6\/25\/8845379\/windows-10-desktop-wallpaper\" target=\"_blank\">The Verge<\/a><\/strong>, the logo won&#8217;t be animated when on your Windows 10 PC.<\/p>\n<p>Windows 10 is set to launch on 29 July 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone who upgrades to the new version of the operating system from Windows 7 or 8.1 within the first year of launch will get the\u00a0OS for free.<\/p>\n<p>For those who will have to buy Windows 10,\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/gordonkelly\/2015\/06\/01\/free-windows-10-late-and-expensive\/\" target=\"_blank\">Forbes<\/a> <\/strong>and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnet.com\/news\/microsoft-prices-single-windows-10-licenses-at-119-for-home-199-for-pro\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cnet<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>reported that<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Microsoft will sell\u00a0Windows 10 for $119, and Windows 10 Pro for $199.
