Africa\u2019s biggest websites, without 24.com"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Effective Measure&#8217;s website traffic statistics for July 2015 show that Gumtree attracted the most South African visitors, followed by IOL, and TimesLive.<\/p>\n<p>Effective Measure is the official traffic measurement partner of the IAB South Africa, and provides accurate traffic and demographics statistics for SA\u2019s top websites.<\/p>\n<p>News24 has dominated local website rankings in recent years, but this time around no 24.com properties are included in the Effective Measure ranking.<\/p>\n<p>24.com said it has stopped its Effective Measure code for a few weeks as part of a review on privacy and the protection of personal information.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo ensure that we are complying with local and international legislation, and the best interests of our clients and consumers, we will be reviewing all our data collection and management policies as well as the vendors that supply them,\u201d said 24.com.<\/p>\n<p>This means that 24.com\u2019s News24, Fin24, Health24, Careers24, Sport24, and Channel24 are not included in the latest rankings.<\/p>\n<p>The table below shows the largest IAB large websites not registered with the IAB SA are not included.<\/p>\n<p>To get an overview of the most popular websites visited by South Africans, irrespective of where the website is based or who it is affiliated with, Alexa is a fair source.<\/p>\n<p>While Alexa\u2019s statistics are not as accurate as Effective Measure\u2019s cookie-based tracking, it provides a more complete picture of SA\u2019s Internet space &#8211; using\u00a0panel-based data from its toolbar users to rank websites based on traffic.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mybb_table\">\n<div class=\"table-responsive\"><table
