{"id":135042,"date":"2015-08-13T12:31:02","date_gmt":"2015-08-13T10:31:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=135042"},"modified":"2015-08-13T13:02:09","modified_gmt":"2015-08-13T11:02:09","slug":"showmax-naspers-new-netflix-competitor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/broadcasting\/135042-showmax-naspers-new-netflix-competitor.html","title":{"rendered":"Showmax: Naspers&#8217; new Netflix competitor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Naspers&#8217; new Netflix competitor is called Showmax, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.channel24.co.za\/TV\/News\/SAs-version-of-Netflix-is-going-to-be-the-next-big-thing-20150813\" target=\"_blank\">Channel24 reported<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>News of the service&#8217;s name follows reports\u00a0that\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/broadcasting\/134752-naspers-netflix-competitor-launching-in-south-africa.html\">Naspers is set to unveil<\/a><\/strong> the\u00a0subscription video on demand (SVOD) service on 19 August 2015.<\/p>\n<p>In SA, it will compete against Times Media Group\u2019s Vidi and MTN FrontRow.
