Mozilla has announced that it is experimenting with new features in pre-beta versions of Firefox to offer more control over privacy – including updated Private Browsing.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur hypothesis is that when you open a Private Browsing window in Firefox you\u2019re sending a signal that you want more control over your privacy than current private browsing experiences provide,\u201d said Mozilla.<\/p>\n
The experimental Firefox Private Browsing enhancements block website elements that could be used to record user behaviour across sites.<\/p>\n
This includes elements like content, analytics, social, and other services that might collect data without your knowledge.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn some cases, websites might appear broken when elements that track behaviour are blocked, but you can always unblock these if you want to view the website normally.”<\/p>\n
Private Browsing in pre-beta also has a control centre that contains site security and privacy controls.<\/p>\n
