Apple has launched a replacement programme<\/a><\/strong> for certain iPhone 6 Plus smartphones, which may be affected by a faulty component that causes photos taken with the back camera to come out blurry.<\/p>\n

The company said that a \u201csmall percentage\u201d of devices are affected, and these units fall into batch\u00a0sold primarily between September 2014 and January 2015.<\/p>\n

If your iPhone 6 Plus is producing blurry photos and falls into the eligible serial number range, Apple will replace your device\u2019s iSight camera for free.<\/p>\n

Although the programme covers affected iPhone 6 Plus iSight cameras for three years after the unit’s sale, Apple said its carrier partners are not participating in the programme.<\/p>\n

It also said that if an iPhone 6 Plus has existing damage, such as a cracked screen, which impairs the camera replacement, that issue will need to be resolved prior to the camera service.<\/p>\n
