The official Raspberry Pi touch display has gone on sale for $60 (\u00b1R800).<\/p>\n

The touch display has a 10-point capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 800\u00d7480 pixels.<\/p>\n

\u201cTwo years ago, I began the process of looking for a simple, embeddable display for the Raspberry Pi,\u201d said the screen project’s Gordon Henderson.<\/p>\n

He believed the project would take six months to complete, but there were a number of issues which held it back.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve finally got there. We chose an industrial-quality display from our friends at Inelco Hunter based in the UK, who were able to create something very special.”<\/p>\n
