{"id":140832,"date":"2015-10-05T14:06:08","date_gmt":"2015-10-05T12:06:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=140832"},"modified":"2015-10-05T14:07:15","modified_gmt":"2015-10-05T12:07:15","slug":"iphone-6s-launch-date-on-mtn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/smartphones\/140832-iphone-6s-launch-date-on-mtn.html","title":{"rendered":"iPhone 6s launch date on MTN"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus will be available through MTN in South Africa from 16 October 2015, the same day as Vodacom.<\/p>\n<p>Those interested in buying one of Apple\u2019s new smartphones can\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shop.mtn.co.za\/crs\/siteInformation\/staticPage.jsp?breadcrumb=iPhone&amp;siteInformation=iPhone\" target=\"_blank\">register their interest on the MTN site<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Rival network Vodacom has said it will offer pre-orders from 9 October 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Cellucity, a Vodacom reseller, has <a href=\"http:\/\/cellucity.co.za\/pre-order\"><strong>launched pre-registrations<\/strong><\/a> for the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus on its website, too.<\/p>\n<p>No pricing for South Africa has been announced yet.<\/p>\n<p>Apple unveiled its new range of smartphones on 9 September, saying they would go on sale from 25 September for between $649 and $949.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Vodacom and MTN\u2019s announcements, iStore will offer a <a href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/smartphones\/138244-trade-in-your-iphone-and-get-r6500-back-from-istore.html\"><strong>trade-in deal for existing iPhone owners<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The specifications of the new devices are summarised in the table below.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mybb_table\">\n<div class=\"table-responsive\"><table class=\"table\" style=\"width: 100%;\" border=\"0\" cellpadding=\"7\">\n<thead>\n<tr style=\"background-color: #06518a;
